Going for Drama Classes and Loving It
They say you don’t compare your kids. Each child is unique.
Having different personalities, different preferences, different God-given talents, I just can’t help but see in each of my child the differences. I don’t compare. I just need to know the difference so I know where to draw the line in terms of helping my kids enhance their God-given talents.
Samantha has started going for Drama lessons. She’s one of the youngest but I can tell she’s really into it. She’s not supposed to be there because the minimum age is 5 years old to join.
But in Malaysia, they count the age by year and not by birth date.
This year, although Samantha just turned 4 at the end of November last year, she’s considered 5 this year. And so because of that fact, we registered her and she was enrolled.
There’s one way mirror that you could peek through if you want to see how your child fares. And so, from this, my husband took photo of her first session.
At Helen O’Grady Drama Academy in Taipan.

2 Years ago, we tried Schenker for this drama school. He didn’t last. We never forced him. At least we explored it for him.
So I say, every child is different. As parents we help to enhance the talents of each child. It’s just a matter of being sensitive to their preferences.
We do have a job to do. Discover our kids’ potentials!
